Here we are, poised at the cusp between winter and spring. 2nd February was the precise midway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. The days still have elements of both seasons. This week we have begun to appreciate the lengthening days. Dawn is around 7am and we are enjoying daylight until nearly 6pm. The mornings are often cold and foggy with cobwebs pearled with dew on every bush. By noon, there is bright sunlight. This is the time we confidently await the slow rebirth of Nature and the awakening of dormant forces in the countryside. What will 2022 bring us? Look out for our upcoming blog-post about the effects of weather on our olive trees.
